The Household
course of
/System/Library/CoreServices/Household.app/Contents/MacOS/Household
is hanging randomly on macOS. When this occurs Display screen Time settings fail to sync from iPhone to iMac, Discover My struggles to find gadgets, and cpu begins to overheat. I’ve been on the telephone and display shared with Apple Tier 1 with no decision.
There are a number of questions on Apple neighborhood, reddit, and different boards attempting to resolve this concern. AFAIK none have been profitable.
One suggestion was including
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/IMCore.framework/imagent.app
as an Permit rule in Community Firewall ( OR even simply turning off the Firewall in Community settings ) to check if that solved this concern.
To this point (after 12 hours of monitoring Exercise Monitor) it appears to have prevented the Household binary getting caught in a (Non Responsive) state however tons of of errors in Console.app suggests the problem continues to be current.
With Firewall off I see tons of of console faults for the Household course of:
43315 fault 12:26:52.972217-0500 Household CoreData: Unable to create token NSXPCConnection. NSXPCStoreServerEndpointFactory 0x7f8e89122f10 -newEndpoint returned nil
